Terms and Conditions – effective 1st December 2024
- References in these conditions to ‘Winston Projects’, ‘we’ and ‘us’ are references to Winston Projects Ltd (company number 14327142), trading address Storebox, Stone Hill Road, Bolton, BL4 9TP. References to the ‘customer’ and ‘you’ are references to the person to whom the quotation is addressed.
- Please read these terms carefully before placing your order. Once you place your order, and your order is accepted by us, a contract between you and Winston Projects will be formed and that contract will be subject to these terms and conditions.
Quotes
- You warrant that the information provided during the quotation process is true and accurate. If we find any inaccuracies in the information provided by you, then we reserve the right to quote an additional fee for the installation and/or to cancel the contract between you and us, at the discretion of Winston Projects.
- The price detailed in the quotation includes the supply and installation of all the components and materials required to carry out the work specified unless stated otherwise in these terms and/or the quotation.
- We reserve the right to increase our quotation, subject to your acceptance, prior to any services being carried out by us.
- We cannot be held liable for any damage to your property during investigative work.
- The price quoted includes VAT unless otherwise stated. If the rate of VAT changes between the date of the order and the date of delivery or performance of services, we will adjust the rate of VAT that you pay, unless you have already paid in full before the change in the rate of VAT takes effect.
- Quoted are valid for 28 days from the date of quotation and are strictly subject to the works being ordered for completion within 90 days of the quotation date.
- Special offers may be subject to other terms, full details of which will be detailed in the offer.
- We reserve the right to cancel any order, should we find, on arrival at the property, that it is not possible to carry out the work. This decision is entirely at the discretion of Winston Projects.
- By placing an order, you are confirming you are the owner of the property detailed in the quotation.
- When you place an order, we will, if we accept your order, email a confirmation to the email address provided during the quotation process which will confirm:
- The scope and specification of the work we are contracted to perform
- The total cost of the installation
- The contract is subject to availability of appliance(s), equipment and other materials.
- Any changes to the scope of work may result in a revised quote.
Payments
- Payments are to be made via bank transfer or debit / credit card.
- A deposit may be required for certain services, with the balance due upon completion. This will be documented in the quotation.
- Any balances are payable upon completion, per the Order.
- If you do not make any payment due to us by the due date for payment, we may charge interest to you on the overdue amount at the rate of 3% a year above the Bank of England ‘base rate’. This interest shall accrue on a daily basis from the due date until the date of actual payment of the overdue amount, whether before or after judgment. You must pay us interest together with any overdue amount.
- Title to goods will not pass to you until we receive payment for the goods in full and cleared funds. If you do not pay all amounts due to us in accordance with the order, we may require you upon reasonable notice to return and deliver up goods to us failing which we shall take legal proceedings to recover the goods or their value.
Cancellations and Refunds
- If you wish to cancel your order, please notify us by email to info@winstonprojects.co.uk no later than 7 days prior to installation, for a full refund. For cancellations less than 7 days prior to installation Winston Projects has the right to retain any deposit paid.
- To reschedule your booking, please notify us at least 7 days in advance by email to info@winstonprojects.co.uk, and we will contact you as quickly as possible to schedule a convenient timeslot.
- We reserve the right to reschedule a booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather conditions, staff illness). In such cases, we will provide as much notice as possible.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure safe access to the property for our team to carry out the agreed services.
- You must ensure that you take adequate steps to protect your personal possessions and furnishings prior to us carrying out our services.
- Follow our advice regarding the maintenance and safe use of your installed facilities.
- If you request for us to stop working part way through an installation, you shall be liable for the service delivered up until that point. In this scenario, title to product(s) will remain with us.
Our Responsibilities
- Provide services with reasonable care and skill.
- Use qualified and experienced professionals for all work.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Liability
- Winston Projects is not liable for:
Damage caused by pre-existing faults in your property.
Delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our control, such as extreme weather or supply chain disruptions.
- Our maximum liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the service in question.
Warranties and Guarantees
- If you believe that our service has not been carried out with reasonable care and skill, you agree to give us the chance to investigate and resolve the issue(s).
- Any warranties for parts or equipment will be provided by the manufacturer.
- Winston Projects offers a 12-month workmanship guarantee on all services, covering issues directly related to our work. Our warranty is not applicable to parts that are not supplied by us as we cannot endorse the reliability of third party products. Our warranty remains to be discretionary, and may be revoked by us at any time if we are able to reasonably satisfy that you have not followed our advice. Your warranty with us will also end automatically should any third parties work on top of our existing work. If we are called out on a warranty based repair or service and we have reasonable evidence to suggest that you are in breach of our warranty terms – the service including our current hourly rate for coming out shall be charged to you. The warranty does not cover any factors that can be considered beyond our control such as acts of god, fires, third-party caused damage and weather related damage. For the avoidance of doubt, this refers to our warranty only – you may be entitled to a parts warranty from the applicable manufacturer of the parts also. For the avoidance of doubt, we cannot be held responsible for any warranties given by the manufacturer of a particular part or product, you must instead contact them directly.

- All content on this website, including text, images, and logos, is the property of Winston Projects. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without prior written consent.
- Products may vary slightly from their pictures. The images of the products on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that a device’s display of the colours accurately reflects the colour of the products.

- We reserve the right to update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our website or services signifies your acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
- Each of the clauses of these Terms and Conditions operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining clauses will remain in full force and effect.
- Each Contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.
